My First Letter in French

Friday, March 17th, 2006

LetterAs I learned how to write down a simple letter in French yesterday in my class, here I will write down a simple letter to you my friends ;-)

Chère mon amie,

Comment vas tu?

A bientôt,

Myrna

Don’t be so impressed, my teacher wrote down that! I just copied it down and added some new words…especially for you…^_*

My First French Song

Friday, March 17th, 2006

1965_marionnettesYesterday I got my first French song! Les marrionnettes! Les marrionettes are kind of puppets made of paper and string. Here is the song:

That’s the story about the puppets. I will not explain the meaning of the song in details as I myself have to learn more French to know what exactly the details are…hehe! But shortly, yes that’s the story about a puppet. He, the one who sing the song,  is introducing himself and his family. All the puppets make party and laugh, except one of them, Alexa, who always cries. Something like that….

I like it…. Nice ha? Hamdulillah.

Feeling Truly Blessed

Tuesday, March 14th, 2006

Friends_2 God creates differences to make this life so beautiful. I feel that I am truly blessed always surrounded by many friends with many differences.

When I was still in Jakarta, I was surrounded by friends with different religions, different cultures. They are always so nice. I always feel so blessed for that.

And now, again I feel truly blessed as I am surrounded by friends with many differences in my French class. Just in 2 weeks we are now good friends.

Really I feel blessed as the term "unity in diversity" is always there in my life. Different races, different religions, different ages…they make me truly blessed! Alhamdulillah.

Today there were friends in the class showed me how beautiful the diversity is!

How A Religious Song Means A Lot

Monday, March 13th, 2006

SunriseI do believe that a song can really bring millions feelings. A song can strengthen the faith. A song can make us experience a little spiritual journey.

Every religion has its religious song. It makes us closer to God. It makes us feel the beauty of this life.

Al-I’tirof,  that’s my mother’s most favourite song to make her thankful to God. I just found the song on net yesterday. And yes, it really brings me to the feeling thankful to God.

It lets me feel that I am just nothing as God who has everything, at the same time I feel that I am really something as God gives me everything.

First Day at School

Tuesday, March 7th, 2006

Eiffelturm_smallYesterday was my first day at school. Hmmm…I felt like I was in a kindergarten. We are all 30 in the class.

My classmates, their native languages are Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, Thailandaise, Russian, and English. Only me who speaks Indonesian.

In the class we learn what is called Module 1. It is the very basic. Mostly we just do hearing simple conversations and repeating them.

The teacher explained to us that the method used in Module 1 considers us as a "kindergarten kid" who hasn’t yet known how to write. So we just have to hear and repeat. This Module 1 will take about 2 months. If I then pass the examination, then I can get to the Module 2. All are 10 modules. We have to pass Module 10, then we will be considered as "excellent". Hhhhmmm…I have to do a lot of hardworks then…whoaaa….

As a good student ^_* I do what the teacher said, even at home. So I keep hearing and repeating the words on TV. And what my hubby said? "Hmmmm…now I have a parrot!!!"
