Sayur Bening Brambang Salam

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

A_030412_sayur_bening01Sayur Bening Brambang Salam, that’s a kind of nicest soup yesterday I was missing a lot! When I was in Jogja, I really loved to cook it, simple and segerrrr (sooo appetizing)….

Usually I got spinach, cabbage, carrot, haricot, and corn. As yesterday I  had cabbage, carrot, haricot, and corn in frigo…mmm seemed like I could absolutely fulfill my feeling craving for that Sayur Bening Brambang Salam. As its name,…brambang (onion) and salam (salam leaves) are the main spices.

Other than those spices, I just needed to put sugar and salt. Boiling water, put all spices, let it well boiled, put all the vegetables. Let them cooked, half done. Voila!

Eating it…hhhhmmmm brought me back to hometown!!! Unfortunatelly, when my hubby tasted it … I had to receive such an unbelievable comment : "Not for me, please!"  ;-)) The greatest insult of the day!! Haha!!

Tying A Tie

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

PictieSince the first time I met my hubby until the day before yesterday, I had never ever been known how to tie a tie. It is true. My father, when he needed to attend a formal occassion and wearing a tie, he tied himself. And it was very rarely done, as my father was just a "pegawai biasa" (not a high level employee) at his office. As a pegawai biasa, he just wore shirt, pants, no need a tie. When he has to attend a formal occasion, until now, he prefers to wear batik.

When I got to work in Jakarta, my male colleagues wore ties, but I just saw it without knowing how to do it.

But yesterday, suddenly my hubby told me that he got to attend a formal occassion and he should wear a tie. He asked me to do that. I had no idea.

Then I tried to find how to do it on internet!!! I then finally knew about it :-P

Yesterday, I was then finally civilized! Hahaha!!!

Long Time, No See…. Found Them Here

FriendsThis early morning, I woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep. Then I tried to access this friendster, and searched for something interesting.

Suddenly a name of a nice friend came to my mind : Kak DJ! And…voila! She’s in friendster!! Alhamdulillah…;-)

I added her to my list. Hope she’ll find my invitation soon. I was so happy finding her. From her friends list I found so many lost friends. So happy to find them. I am now waiting for them responding me…, still so excited and feeling like going back to the past memories.

A Grey Hair Is Not Just as It Shows.

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

Portrait_drawing_old_manOne day I obviously saw a grey hair between other hairs on my hubby’s head. It was so eye chatching, so that I really wanted to pull it out, and I did.

Then my hubby was a little angry and said : "Please never do this again", it is not just a grey hair as you see it". "It is more than that". "By letting it stay there, and then let the others turn to grey as well, they will keep warning me that I am getting older and older, so that I have to be wiser and wiser".

Yes, then for this time I agree not to argue with him. What a nice view he gave me that day. We’re getting older and older every single day. Nothing we can do to really hide from this than to be wiser and wiser. Be wiser and get a life happier ;-) as the meaning of enjoying is facing it, not hiding from it. Grey hairs? mmm…siapa takut? ;-))
