Indomie

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Indomiesotomie_1Going back to the time when I was living in Jakarta. As a real "anak kost", I ate Indomie a lot. Today as I missed the time and also the taste a lot, I prepared Indomie for lunch. I got it couple of weeks ago in a Chinese supermarket. I payed 0.42 € per pack.

I prepared an "onion chicken flavour", in French they mention it "gout poulet aux oignons". They put the instructions for cooking in 5 languages, English, French, Dutch, German, and Maltese (I am not sure about the last).

Let me write down the instructions in French.

1. Faire bouillir les nouilles dans 0.4l de l’eau frémissante pendant 3 minutes.

1. Boil noodles in briskly boiling water (400ml) and simmer for 3 minutes.

2. Pendant ce temps, mélanger dan un bol, l’assaisonnement, l’huile et le piment en poudre (selon votre gout).
2. Mix seasoning powder, oil, chilli powder (according to taste) on a bowl while noodles are being cooked.

3. Verser les nouilles dans le bol et mélanger avec les assaisonnements.

3. Stir noodles with the seasonings and mix well.

4. Servir. Voila!

4. Ready to serve!

Hhhhhmmmm….slllrpppppp! :))

Poster_standard_edition

It is a little difficult for me to learn French this age as I am also not a fast learner, but I have to! This morning I found the French tutorial website : www.frenchtutorial.com  It is nice. Then I got an idea to write down 15 sentences in French I’ve got from the web on my post at least once a day. It will help myself to learn it easier. It is a little bit too late to start, as I’ve been here for more than 2 months. But better late than never anyway!

1. Je suis heureux : I am happy

2.  Essayons! : Let’s try!

3. Nous sommes dans la cuisine : We are in the kitchen

4. Nous finissons nos devoirs : We are finishing our homeworks

5. Je pars en vacances : I go on holiday

6. Nous ressortons à 18 heures : We go out again at 6 pm

ne…pas : to make negative phrases

7. Il ne veut pas venir avec nous : He doesn’t want to come with us

8. Tu ne comprends pas cette leçon : You do not understand this lesson

9. Vous ne pouvez pas enregistrer votre voix : You can’t record your voice

ne…jamais : never

10. Il ne veut jamais venir avec nous : He never wants to come with us

11. Tu ne comprends jamais cette leçon : You never understand this lesson

12. Vous ne pouvez jamais enregistrer votre voix : You can never record your voice

ne…plus : not anymore

13. Il ne veut plus venir avec nous : He doesn’t want to come with us anymore

14. Tu ne comprends plus cette leçon : You do not understad this lesson anymore

15. Vous ne pouvez plus enregistrer votre voix: You can’t record your voice anymore

The French pronunciation is completely different from English. C’est pas facile! It is not easy! But…I have no choice…hehe. Alhamdulillah anyway!

My First Snowy Nite

Friday, November 25th, 2005

Snowy_nite_1This nite is the very first snowy nite of mine, so snowy and stormy. It is so cold. The snow is falling down slowly. It is covering white everything outside. The sky is not so dark. Silent….Misterious beauty of nature. MasyAllah…. Beautiful and misterious (as a friend-Wati-said). Sometimes I hear the blowing wind and something hardly falling down.

Here in the silent snowy nite, I thank God a lot to make me realize how Great He is. I am now enjoying every breath I take in my first snoowy nite. Have a good nite all!

Little House on the Prairie

Friday, November 25th, 2005

Lilhouse3Do you remember the TV series Little House on the Prairie? If I am not mistaken I enjoyed watching it as I was in Elementary School. Now here I can enjoy the series on channel AB4. Today I found it played at about 1 pm. The duration is 50 minutes.

This is a very nice series, one of my favourite TV series. This is about the story of a loving family in trying times. Charles Ingalls (Michael Landon) was a very loving husband and father, he was a homesteader struggling to make a living for his family on a small farm near the town of Walnut Grove, Plum Creek, Minnesota.

The Ingalls had moved from the great plains of Kansas to Walnut Grove searching for a better life in a young and growing community. With Charles was his wife, Caroline (Karen Grassle), and their three daughters Mary (Melissa Sue Anderson), Laura (Melissa Gilbert), and little Carrie (Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush). This is simply the picture of a very loving family. Nice!

Biang Gossip!

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

NovaIndonesian Gossip? I always keep myself updated!! Hehe. It keeps me getting a little refreshment.

Sometimes I feel I need to think of nothing. That’s why sometimes I need to know gossip. Always think of real "something" will make me too tired. Our mind is full of "something", so we need to fill it with "nothing" sometimes.

So, yes gossip is nothing, but it is still important for me now. Hehe ;-)) Any spectacular gossip I should know?

2° Celcius is nothing?!

WinterThe degrees are starting to get lower and lower recently. Few days ago we got 2°C and a friend said to me that it was nothing, " See until we get the winter!" Whoaaaa…. It can be -5°C or worse!

Last week  we got falling frozen rain! Fortunatelly I was at home…if not brppppppphhhhh! When going outside from now on, I always wear at least 4 pieces of clothes, plus gloves. Nice ha? Can you imagine how I look like? When walking down town, someone will easily kick out to roll me on…simply like a ball! Hoho….

Long time ago when I was still in Jogja, I really wanted to feel the winter. And now, as the time goes by…the winter is coming!

I shouldn’t have forgotten bringing the sun from Jogja!! I forgot!!! Completely forgot!! Oooohh….brrrrrppphhhh!!!

Homesick

Kraton Missing my hometown…Jogja…oh Jogja! Missing the sunlight, the traffic jam, and the food, Bakso Pak Topi Abang.

Everyday at about 6-7 pm, a bakso seller wearing his red hat always passes in front of my house in Jogja (until today still, refer to my mother’s info). Will never find that kind of delicious bakso other than in Jogja, even in Jakarta! For just Rp.2.500,- I got 3 big baksos, bakmi, bihun, a pangsit goreng, plus kuah panassss….Hmmmmm….

Sitting down and gossipping with mother enjoying the bakso together while my father watching tv, being lazy together, getting around Pasar Beringharjo, Mirota Batik, Malioboro….When will I come back hometown yah?
